As with everything, we strive to do our best, but sometimes things take a little more time. Our crews are clearing roads as fast as they can after the large amount of snow we accumulated and frigid temperatures.
A few friendly reminders and tips![]()
Who do I call if my mailbox has damaged by a snow plow?
First check what area your address is in to determine who to call. If you are within the City of Union, call 859-384-1511
Please be patient and give crews time to continue snow removal. Due to the heavy volume of snow, expect piles in front of your mailboxes (especially in cul de sacs) and at the end of your driveways. This isn’t to burden you, but remember there has been over a foot of snow on the roads and it has to be redirected outward from the street sometimes accumulating by mailboxes.

Please remember to keep vehicles OFF the streets during a snow emergency.

Please don’t snow blow/shovel your driveway snow into the streets. It creates more of a hazard in the clean-up process.
Regarding prioritized list of plowing roads:
All major thoroughfares are plowed and treated 1st.
Residential streets are secondary.
Cul-de-sacs, please be patient while our crews work tirelessly to get to all of our 120+ roads in the city.
We appreciate our wonderful City of Union community and, as always, we thank you for your patience and understanding.
