ORDINANCE NO. 2026-07

AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING AN ANNUAL BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR JULY 1, 2026, THROUGH JUNE 30, 2027, BY ESTIMATING REVENUES AND RESOURCES AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR THE OPERATION OF CITY GOVERNMENT FOR THE CITY OF UNION, KENTUCKY

WHEREAS, an annual budget proposal and message has been prepared and delivered to the City Commission for the City of Union, Kentucky; and

WHEREAS, the City Commission has reviewed such budget proposal and made necessary modifications and recommendations; and

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF UNION KENTUCKY THAT THE ANNUAL BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR JULY 1, 2026, THROUGH JUNE 30, 2027, SHALL BE ADOPTED AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION I

Pursuant to the requirements of KRS 91A.030(10), during the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026 and ending June 30, 2027, the City of Union shall operate and be operated pursuant to the budget set forth in Section II; and no monies shall be expended by or on behalf of the City of Union except in accordance therewith.

SECTION II

The budget for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026, and ending June 30, 2027, is hereby adopted as attached hereto as Exhibit “A” and incorporated herein by reference, pursuant to KRS 91A.030(10), estimating Total Resources Available at $17,907,289.00 and Total Appropriations at

$12,416,841.00

SECTION III

This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage, publication and recording, according to law.
