ORDINANCE NO. 2026-08
AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING AND ENACTING THE COMPREHENSIVE PAY PLAN FOR THE NON-ELECTED CITY OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF UNION, KENTUCKY, IN ACCORDANCE WITH KRS 83A.070 (2)
WHEREAS, 83A.070(2) of the Kentucky Revised Statutes requires that the City legislative body of each city shall fix the compensation of city employees and non-elected city officers in accordance with a personnel and pay classification plan; and,
WHEREAS, a Personnel and Pay Classification Plan was previously adopted by City Commission for the employees and non-elected officers of the City of Union, Kentucky; and,
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Union desires to adopt and enact an updated Pay Classification Plan created by the City of Union Staff for all of the employees and non-elected officers of the City of Union, Kentucky.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF UNION, KENTUCKY AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I
The City hereby enacts and adopts, in its entirety, the amended Pay Classification Plan marked as Exhibit A, which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference. The aforementioned Pay Classification Plan of the City of Union, Kentucky, as adopted herein, sets forth the salary ranges for each of the established positions within the City for the non-elected city offices, and all other city employees, effective July 1, 2026.
SECTION II
All Ordinances, Resolutions, or parts thereof, in conflict with the provisions of this Ordinance, are to the extent of such conflict hereby repealed.
SECTION III
This Ordinance shall be effective when read, passed and published according to law.
SECTION IV
This Ordinance may be published in summary pursuant to KRS 183A.060(9).
