It is with heavy hearts that we announce the cancellation of tonight’s Union Celebrates America event due to the forecast of severe weather, including widespread lightning and an expected 1–3 inches of rain.

The band’s equipment and drones cannot perform in those conditions and we want to ensure the safety of all to enjoy this at the fullest.

While this event is traditionally held rain or shine, the safety of our residents, visitors, vendors, volunteers, performers, and staff must always come first. With dangerous weather expected throughout the evening, we made the difficult decision to cancel tonight’s festivities.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who dedicated countless hours of planning, preparation, and hard work to make this celebration possible, as well as to the thousands of community members who join us each year to celebrate our nation’s independence together. You are what makes the event special.

As our nation commemorates America’s 250th anniversary, we wish everyone a safe, joyful, and meaningful celebration with family and friends. We look forward to celebrating together again soon and hopefully with Mother Nature on our side next time.

Thank you for your understanding, and we are truly saddened that we had to cancel this event today
